When lockdown began it took me a week to set myself up as an online Pilates instructor, something I had never even considered. My husband and my digital marketing guru Sharon Williams had been nagging me for ages that online was the way to go, but I wasn't convinced. However, on 16th March 2020 I didn't have a choice anymore and online became my, and many other businesses', only option.
Now that I've caught my breath and I've had a chance to look back over the last six months, I can't believe that I've taught over 180 classes using Zoom! Particularly when you factor in that where I live, we don't benefit from fibre-optic broadband so the internet speed is slower than a horse and cart! We've also learned that noone in our house can use the microwave or shredder when I'm teaching as it cuts out the internet! In fact, my husband and son aren't allowed to use anything electrical in the house while I'm teaching, which doesn't make me very popular!
One of the plus sides of Pilates online is that I can teach from anywhere that has an internet connection. I've also expanded my business on a national and even international basis.
Going forward Pilates online is definitely here to stay as I can offer my clients the flexibility of both online and studio classes letting them chop and change between days and times. So I've bought a 1000 piece jigsaw for my family to do when the internet is out of bounds!
Booking online is quick and easy. You can select whichever class suits your schedule and then complete the enrolment form. Don't forget to register an account so you only have to complete the form once and then managing your classes will be simple. You will also receive an automated reminder 48 hours before the start of your class.
However, if you'd like to have a chat with me first, please drop me a line and we can discuss what sort of class would be best for you. I look forward to speaking to you soon.
