HELPING YOU TO LIVE A HAPPY AND HEALTHY LIFE WITH PILATES
My Pilates Journey
My Pilates journey started 22 years ago when I joined a prenatal class. After a few sessions, I realised how beneficial the exercises were to me and I was hooked.

Approaching a milestone birthday I made a career change to train as a Pilates instructor. After a year of training, I attained my Level 3 Mat Qualification at the prestigious Body Control Pilates Centre in London and then launched All About Pilates.

In order to maintain my Pilates accreditation, I attend training courses each year. I am qualified to teach pregnant clients, people with osteoporosis, older clients and people who want to use Pilates to improve their sporting performance with a particular focus on Pilates for equestrians. I have also studied the original classical mat repertoire as set out by Joseph Pilates for the more advanced client.
MY STORY
MY STORY
I vary my classes each week with different exercises and increase the challenge by incorporating small pieces of equipment. I have attended all the required courses to teach Pilates using the large and small Pilates balls, toning circle, foam roller, weights and exercise band. Teaching online has spurred my creativity so you might be asked to bring along a tea towel, dining room chair and a piece of fruit!!

However, out of all the courses that I have attended, my most important teachers are my clients!

WHY CHOOSE PILATES

Pilates is more than just an exercise programme.  It gives you the tools to learn how to move your body correctly so you can feel the benefits not just during the class, but at home too.

Every session will focus on individual joints and muscle groups working from head to toe so you'll feel stronger, fitter and better about yourself.  You'll get the most from the class by understanding why and how we do certain exercises so I'll spend time helping you to improve your technique.   If you don't understand how to do a particular exercise, I'll work with you to find out why or give alternatives.  The most important thing to me is that you enjoy coming to my classes and that, one day, you'll learn to love Pilates as much as I do.

CLASSES

Classes are suitable for everyone regardless of fitness level. Whether you're training for a marathon or if you've never been inside a gym, you'll find a class to suit you.  In no time at all,  you'll make Pilates part of your weekly exercise routine.

ONLINE
Online classes are held on Zoom. Wherever you are, you can enjoy the convenience of exercising online.
STUDIO CLASSES
Studio classes are held in North Yorkshire, Teesside and Darlington. Classes are mixed ability, but I give a range of levels so you can start your Pilates journey learning the basics before going onto the more challenging routines.
PRIVATE APPOINTMENTS
If you are new to Pilates, have a specific goal that you are working towards or have a particular medical condition, then a private session may suit you. Or it may be something that you and a friend/partner/family member may be interested in doing together. These sessions are held in my studio near Yarm.
VIDEOS
If my timetable doesn't suit your schedule or if you'd like to do some extra classes every week, you've also got the option of my video channel. All subscribers receive a new 30-minute video each week which can be viewed as many times before it expires.
